I'm in Bumble once again, here to spend the Christmas holiday with Daddy and Mandy and her family. Brian will be joining us the day after Christmas.

I was thinking last night how much I really love to be here. Everything here is so much calmer than in the city, and you feel like you have all the time in the world. Here you can actually live instead of simply exist and survive. There's only one thing that could make this place any better, and that would be to have Ben and Steph and Preston and Bob and Allison and Leah and Mom Mom and all the people I love here with me. I can just picture it...

Mandy and I would be in the kitchen, making dough for pie crusts or brushing egg white on sand tarts. We'd have "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" soundtrack on probably. Allison and Steph would help us bake. Al would be her usual bouncy self, and Steph would be thinking up all kinds of crazy schemes like she usually does. Leah would be singing all the Magenta parts to the soundtrack and swooning over Luke. Preston and Bob would be sitting at the kitchen table, Preston remarking at how beautiful I look when I'm cooking (or something like that) and going crazy when I start singing "Toucha Toucha Touch Me", and Bob cracking jokes about ax weer and saying "Dammit, Jane!" (These are all inside jokes, in case you couldn't tell.) Mom Mom would be talking to everyone and telling stories or crocheting in the living room. Uncle Ed would be chatting with Brian about boy stuff. And Ben would be talking to Daddy about all the cool things he wants to do to his new car, and occasionally he'd come up behind me and tickle me or wrap his arms around my waist and rest his head on my shoulder. Everyone else would be there, too: Ashley, Toya, Megan, Vicky, Cathy, Jason, Mark, Reed, Sam- everyone. That would be the greatest Christmas present of all. Too bad I'm not going to get it.
