Friday, Sept. 13, 2002 - 5:14 p.m.

Some highlights for this week:

1) LOTS of homework.

2) Mark visited! Doug's in Florida though, and he and Gigi miss each other a lot. It's sooo cute!

3) I saw Monteverdi's opera "Orfeo", and loved it. The part where Euridice dies a second time is so sad... *sniff*

4) I got a work study job with my biotech professor. I'm going to be working as a lab assistant, which means I get to wash flasks. But it's $8 an hour, so how can I complain? Besides, I get my own keys to the lab. (No, I don't feel a power trip coming on...)

5) My chemistry lab professor is like a cross between Jimmy Stuart and Wilbur Cobb. If you can picture that (or even if you just know who Wilbur Cobb is), you're cool.

6) My chemistry TA is funny, intelligent, and drop-dead gorgeous. I plan to run away with him, if I can get through the crowd of teeny boppers surrounding him first.

7) "5/4" by Gorillaz is an awesome song. Actually, the whole "Gorillaz" album is awesome. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Well, tonight I'm going to a performance of "As You Like It" by the Underground Shakespeare Company, which I'm auditioning to be part of next week. Tomorrow I'm heading back to the shore to visit my grandmom and Ben's mom. Dear God, I've become a shoobie...
