It just doesn't get any better than this. I've got my period, a cold, and a mild case of conjunctvitis in my left eye, plus I was supposed to be at school on Monday so now I have to work on catching up, and I don't have any of my books. On the upside, I think I may have met my twin soul...

Have you ever met someone with whom you instantly connected, who finished your sentences and read your thoughts after knowing you for about 5 minutes and without ever having seen your face? Well, I have, and his name is Jon. As I write this I'm already getting all blushy. (Please hold off on the "awww"s.)

My stay at Steph's was, on the whole, most enjoyable. I got to show off a new bikini, go swimming, spend time with most of my friends at the shore, and eat marinated cucumbers and brownies. Plus, I got to know Stephie's boyfriend Dave a little better. I like him as a friend, as long as I'm not arguing with him, but I'm not sure he deserves Stephie. At least, I don't think they're very compatible...

Okay, I'm tired of trying to put it nicely. He does *not* deserve her. He's immature, arrogant, and he has a missle crisis (aka an ego problem). *whew* Now I feel better.

Anyhow, as you probabally guessed by what I said previously, Jon and I really hit it off when we finally got to meet. Then his ex-girlfriend came along and made things complicated. She's this diminuative blonde who looks like one of those quiet, but very disturbed people who at any moment could whip out an AK- 47 and devastate an entire small town just because you looked at them the wrong way. (Of course, I haven't actually pictured this in my head or anything like that.) Anyway, she still thinks she's madly in love with him and wants him back. My argument is, if she loves him so much, why is she knowingly hurting him so badly? Anyhow, things got a little weird. And with Ben thinking he saw Jon and me kissing at the pool party, which did *not* happen, things got a little weirder. But I'm happy to report that Jon and I have talked at length on the phone for three nights in a row now, and he wants to come visit me as soon as I'm back at school. Things are going so well, in fact, that I'm almost afraid to see what happens next, because sooner or later, something bad is going to have to happen. Can I really begin to believe that things are going my way? (Cold, cramps, and conjunctivitis aside, of course.) I'd better keep my wits about me. I just might be on the verge of falling in love- that is if I haven't already. *hides*
